We maintain a low instructor-to-student ratio to ensure personalized and effective instruction. Typically, our classes have one instructor for every four to six students. However, the more basic the class, the more instructors per students.
Each class that we offer has a guide as to the minimum experience/skills required to attend. If you're unsure if you satisfy the minimum requirements, please contact us.
Safety is our top priority at Firearms Research & Instruction. We have strict safety protocols in place, including mandatory safety briefings and range rules, to ensure the safety of all participants. Likewise, if we have a student too unsafe to participate, we'll remove him/her from the range without question.
Absolutely! We offer Rifle and Shotgun courses, as well as unarmed and Less than Lethal.
Absolutely not, except, obviously, for those courses designed for those type of people. We've had students ranging in age from 12 to some in their late 70s. Likewise, we've taught people with physical limitations, such as being confined to a wheelchair, having prosthetic limbs, and we even taught a blind lady to shoot.
Courses range from 8 hours to 40 hours. The exception is the Utah CFP course which is approximately 4 hours.
Yes, except for those classes that have state mandated requirements (gun permit classes) and, obviously, shotgun classes.
No. We offer introductory firearms courses that are focused on safety, nomenclature, manipulation, and fundamentals.
Yes! We travel across the United States providing the same high-quality courses. Please contact us if you'd like us to come to your area. And, if you help us coordinate the class, your tuition is waived!
